Indonesia Visa-Free Entry Countries: What the July 2026 List Says
Read the official July 2026 Indonesia visa-free entry list, distinguish passport nationality from residence, and verify travel conditions before arrival.

Source check: 5 October 2026. Indonesia visa-free entry received a published list update under Minister of Immigration and Corrections Regulation Number 10 of 2026. The official legal database records an effective date of 9 July 2026. Its annex names six jurisdictions. This is a useful update for visitors planning Bali travel, but a nationality appearing in an annex does not establish permission for every purpose, every passport type or an indefinite stay.
The six entries in the official annex
The text names Türkiye, Brazil, Peru, Kazakhstan, the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, and Belarus. We checked the regulation itself, rather than relying only on a commercial summary. Article 4 also repeals the preceding Ministerial Regulation Number 10 of 2025. Accordingly, it is more accurate to describe the six entries in the replacement list than to assume that all six represent first-time eligibility introduced in July.
- Republic of Türkiye
- Federative Republic of Brazil
- Republic of Peru
- Republic of Kazakhstan
- Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China
- Republic of Belarus
This annex is not presented here as Indonesia's entire visa-free nationality list. It concerns additions under the specified regulation. Other eligibility can arise under the wider framework, and the actual requirements should be checked through Immigration. The fact that a country is not among these six entries does not, by itself, tell a reader which other travel route is available.
Keep the relevant dates separate
The BPK legal database records the regulation's adoption on 7 July and its promulgation and effective date on 9 July 2026. An immigration-office explanation published later is an explanation of that measure, not necessarily a second legal change. Our article's source-check date is different again: it tells you when we reviewed the material, not when a rule began.
This distinction matters when a search engine surfaces an older article with a recently changed display date. Read the underlying rule number, status and effective date. If you are comparing advice, ask whether two articles describe the same instrument or different stages of a policy. A new headline is not proof of a new entitlement, and a proposed expansion should not be treated as a rule already in force.
Nationality, passport and residence are not the same
A traveller may live in one country, hold a passport from another and depart from a third. Visa eligibility is not established just by the departure airport, residence address or a friend's successful trip. The Macao entry in this annex is particularly important to read precisely; it should not be casually generalized into a statement that every passport issued anywhere in China is covered by this specific entry.
Before booking, use the exact travel document you will present to check the current official route. Where a person has more than one passport, the details entered in the application or declaration should correspond to the document used for the journey. Do not switch documents mid-process on the assumption that an approval follows the person independently of the passport details. Ask Immigration how to handle an actual document change.
Visa-free entry is not residence or work authorization
A short visit facility and a permission to live or work in Indonesia serve different purposes. Planning to inspect a villa, stay on holiday, relocate or undertake paid activity creates different questions. The regulation's annex cannot substitute for checking the conditions attached to the route that fits the real purpose of travel. Property ownership, a villa lease or a booking confirmation does not answer those immigration questions.
For a longer stay, ask specifically about permitted activities, the authorized period and whether the chosen route can be extended or changed. This article does not prescribe an extension right or quote a stay period without checking the applicable facility. A traveller should not choose a short visit route solely because entry appears simpler if their actual plan requires something else.
Build a pre-departure verification checklist
- Check nationality and exact passport type against current official eligibility.
- Confirm that the travel purpose fits the selected facility.
- Check passport validity, supporting-document and entry-point requirements.
- Understand the authorized stay and any extension limitations before committing to a long booking.
- Check whether an arrival declaration is needed independently of the visa route.
- Save the official approval or confirmation and the relevant reference.
- Recheck shortly before departure because a July snapshot is not a permanent guarantee.
Use this as a questions list, not a legally complete entry checklist. Airlines and immigration authorities may check different stages of the journey. A carrier allowing boarding does not guarantee admission, and a payment receipt does not necessarily mean a visa application has been approved. Give yourself time to resolve inconsistencies before travel rather than hoping an officer will correct them at the airport.
Arrival declarations remain a separate task
Indonesia's official All Indonesia service describes the electronic arrival card. A visa route and an arrival declaration should not be confused. Completing a declaration does not grant employment permission, and appearing on a visa-free list does not make every other arrival form irrelevant. Check the current instructions directly through the official portal instead of following an advertisement that resembles a government service.
Passport and travel details are sensitive. Enter them only into the intended official process or an appropriately agreed professional service. A villa's booking enquiry form and a bookkeeping consultation form are not substitutes for an immigration application. Keep any QR confirmation accessible for your journey, while avoiding public sharing of screenshots containing personal identifiers.
What villa owners and operators can communicate
A useful guest-information message can point to the official eligibility and arrival-card pages while asking travellers to verify their own circumstances. It should not promise that a nationality always receives entry or that a longer booking automatically supports a residence permit. Date the information, identify its source and avoid collecting unnecessary passport details solely to give general travel guidance.
Owners considering longer visits should keep personal travel planning separate from the business's books. Document business and owner movements accurately, then obtain the appropriate professional advice on legal and tax questions. Our PT PMA record organization page and monthly owner reporting service concern bookkeeping, not visa applications. The sample finance report shows how to distinguish operating activity from owner cash movements.
Sources, limitations and the next step
Read the official BPK regulation record and its full text and annex. Check current service information at the official eVisa portal and arrival instructions at All Indonesia. This is general, dated reporting, not immigration or legal advice. For related market context, read our foreign-worker system update; it describes a different permission process, not an extension of visa-free visits.
Visa-free entry information in a villa guest-arrival workflow
A villa operator can link a guest to the cited official source without promising that the guest qualifies for entry. Keep arrival communications distinct from booking confirmation: a reservation establishes the planned accommodation, not a visa decision. Check the article's source date rather than repeating an old country list as a live guarantee.
If travel plans change, preserve the booking amendment, refund approval and payment reference in the villa records. That lets an owner report explain the financial change without collecting unnecessary passport information through a public bookkeeping enquiry. Immigration eligibility remains a question for the responsible authority or a qualified provider; rental property bookkeeping concerns the documented transactions.
